Stretch wrapping applications for pallets and shaped goods
Begin with the job the wrapping must do: hold a pallet load together, protect a surface or contain a bundle. Describe the goods and their handling route so the machine and film settings can be evaluated against a useful acceptance target.
Pallet loads need stability as well as coverage
Cartons, bags, drums and industrial components behave differently under film tension. Include the load arrangement, height, maximum weight and any tendency to lean, compress or shift during handling.
For light or tall loads, assess whether rotation is suitable and whether a top platen can contact the goods safely. A stationary-load format may be worth reviewing, but the actual stability and working area still need checking.
Long products and coils need suitable support
For profiles, pipes, doors and panels, identify sensitive surfaces, corners and protrusions. Provide the length range and support points so the product stays positioned as it passes through the orbital wrapping area.
For coils, include inside diameter, outside diameter, width and weight. For all applications, review coverage, overlap and reinforcement with the handling process, then inspect the wrapped goods against the agreed protection and stability requirements.
Questions before you choose
What makes a useful product sample or photograph?
Show the full load and any weak, slippery or protruding areas. Add dimensions, weight, the current film specification and the damage or handling issue you want to address.
Is a visually neat wrap enough to accept the process?
Appearance is only one check. Assess whether the goods remain stable and adequately protected during the handling and storage conditions agreed for the application.
